I am a Full Professor of Information Systems at the Faculty of Business and Economics (HEC) of the University of Lausanne (UNIL), Switzerland, where I lead the PErsuasive Tech Lab.

My research sits at the intersection of human-computer interaction (HCI), computer-supported cooperative work (CSCW) and behavioural science. My team designs and evaluates behaviour-change technology: applications and interventions that help people adopt positive habits. Current projects look at AI agents that support physical activity, the risks and fairness of AI in hiring and interview training, support for victims of disclosure-based cyberbullying, usable privacy and security, and tools for self-reflection.

Before joining UNIL in 2016, I spent eight years in industry, most recently at Google in Zurich and before that at Telefonica Research in Barcelona with Nuria Oliver and Rodrigo de Oliveira. I received my PhD in Computer Science from EPFL in 2008 (CRAFT laboratory, now CHILI lab, supervised by Pierre Dillenbourg), after two and a half years as a research assistant at Media Lab Europe in Dublin, with study visits at the MIT Media Lab.
